Crime Watch Meetings

The Wheeling Police Department currently holds six monthly crime watch meetings throughout the city year-round in various neighborhoods. Meetings are very informal and can be attended by any citizen, regardless of which neighborhood you live in. The purpose of the meetings are to build relationships with residents by working together on crime-related issues through in-person conversation. Officers will provide monthly statistics and talk about upcoming events, initiatives, and crimes trends. City Council representatives typically hold a 'ward meeting' after the neighborhood watch discussion to talk about general city related concerns.
