Each dog park is divided into two sections - one for small dogs (under 30 pounds) and one for large dogs (over 30 pounds). The dog parks also have water and waste stations, and benches for the humans. The facilities have adequate parking and are open daily from dawn to dusk. The dog parks close for winter. Tunnel Green Recreation Complex, East Wheeling - a PetSafe Park

The Ohio Valley’s first dog park is located at the Tunnel Green Recreation Complex. The dog park sits on the wooded lot south of a ball field and roller hockey rink. The site has vehicular access from 18th Street and pedestrian access from the trail.
Garden Park - Warwood

Located near Heritage Trail, Warwood School and the tennis courts, Wheeling's newest dog park has vehicular access from Viking Drive and pedestrian access from the trail.
Wheeling Park

Located between the White Palace and the golf course, the dog park is accessible via the main one-way entrance to Wheeling Park.

Dog Park Rules and Regulations
-Dogs must be licensed and vaccinated.
-Tags must be worn at all times in accordance with Wheeling City Ordinance 508.07.
-No dog that has been declared vicious can enter the park.
-Park is subject to all City ordinances pertaining to animals (505, 507, and 508). Violators will be charged.
-Aggressive dogs and dogs in heat are prohibited.
-All dogs must be leashed until safely inside the dog park and then returned to the leash prior to exiting.
-Owner must have a leash visible at all times.
-Dogs must be removed from the park at the first sign of aggression.
-No more than two (2) dogs per person are permitted at one time in the park.
-Owners must be in view of their dogs and have verbal control at all times.
-Owners are liable for any injury or damages caused by their dog and are responsible for their dog’s actions.
-All dog toys are prohibited in the park (examples include rawhide, rope toys, tennis balls and chew toys).
-Puppies must be over the age of 6 months.
-For their safety, please do not bring children under the age of 12 into the park.
-Owners must clean up after their dogs and dispose of waste property in designated on-site containers.
-No food or glass containers allowed in the park.
-Smoking and alcohol are prohibited at and around the park.
