The City Manager’s Office has announced that repair work on the Hempfield Tunnel is complete and that the tunnel has re-opened for public use. Wheeling’s Heritage Trail System is an important outdoor recreational activity for our citizens and visitors to enjoy. The tunnel is not only an integral part of the trail system, but a unique historical feature that adds to the trail experience.
