Codified Ordinances

The City of Wheeling operates under the Manager-Mayor Plan.
Council consists of six members; one member is elected from each of the six wards.
The Mayor is elected at large by the qualified voters of the City and serves as the presiding officer of the Council.
City elections for Mayor and members of Council are held every four years; the current council took office on July 1, 2016.
