Day Camp

Starting June 11, 2012 and continuing for seven weeks, the Oglebay Park Children’s Day Camp is waiting for you to join the fun. The cost - ABSOLUTELY FREE!

Each child must have a registration form before boarding the Oglebay trolley. Registration forms can be picked up at the recreation office or from the playground instructor at your neighborhood playground. You only need to fill out one form - this is good for the entire summer. This form must be given to the day camp counselor before boarding the trolley.

Children between the ages of 7-12 can spend one day a week at Oglebay Park’s Day Camp. They will enjoy swimming, hiking, games, boating, mini-golf, the Good Zoo and much more. Kids from every playground in Wheeling participate, and so can you.

Here’s how it works.

  • Pack a lunch (drinks will be provided)
  • Wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes
  • Bring your swimsuit and towel
  • Be at your playground by 8:15 a.m. The Oglebay trolley will pick you up and take you to camp.
  • After a fun filled day, the trolley will take you back to your playground around 2:30 p.m.
