The Traffic Commission consists of five members who are residents of the City. The members are appointed by the Mayor and serve at the pleasure of Council. The duty of the Commission is to recommend rules and regulations concerning the parking of vehicles on the public thoroughfares in the City. Such recommendations are forwarded to Council in the form of ordinances, for action by Council.
The Traffic Commission meets every 2nd Thursday of the month at 2:00 PM in Council Chambers on the second floor of the City-County Building.
The Commission also reviews handicap parking requests.
To initiate a request, a Handicapped Parking Request Form must be completed and submitted to:
